The editors of Rancho Santa Fe Living

Rancho Santa Fe Living is written, kept and corrected by its editors: an independent desk devoted to one place and its ways. We publish under a collective byline because the magazine is meant to speak in one voice, the voice of a publication rather than of personalities, and because our promise is method, not celebrity.

The desk reads the recorded documents, the public agency material and the architectural histories of the region; walks the village lanes, the bridle trails and the gardens it describes; and revises its guides when understanding deepens. Every essay in the magazine names its reasoning, and our editorial policy states the standards the desk holds itself to, including how corrections work.
